I have some beef with Bubble about this. The product itself is really good. It's the perfect milky consistency, and my skin loved it. I used it twice a day, and it didn't break me out or irritate my skin at all. It does have an awful scent, and the packaging sucks. It shoots all over the place if you don't wait 30 seconds to close the top after dispensing it. But while using this, I found these clear, slimly, almost plastic pieces coming out with the formula. I took a video and posted it to TikTok to see if anyone else was having this problem, and to bring it to Bubble's attention. They told me to email them and I did. But they were only willing to help me if I provided them with an order number and receipt. This was gifted to me by an influencer, and I did not have that information. I explained that I won it in a giveaway and their response was “well can't you contact that person and get that information from them?” And obviously I can't do that. So they refused to help me, and I explained that I was not looking for a refund, and not even a free product. I wanted them to know about this issue and fix it. I am also a Bubble Ambassador, so you would think they would have more respect for me, or just take me more seriously. They didn't offer any kind of explanation as to what this substance was, and just told me there was nothing they could do and to have a nice day. I continued to use it, but had to look thoroughly at the product I dispensed before applying it to my face, and I ended up not finishing it because more and more would come out when it was almost empty. And I did shake it every single time before using it, it was defienetly not product that hadn't mixed or dissolved. The entire interaction I had with them put such a bad taste in my mouth about the entire brand. They make really great products - this being one of them! But the fact that I came to them with a legitimate complaint about a foreign substance in my product and they completely dismissed me because I didn't pay for it is unacceptable in my opinion. I will not be purchasing any other Bubble Cosmic Silks, and I will honestly be a lot more cautious about what I do purchase from Bubble, if anything at all moving forward.
... Read moreUsing skincare products consistently can reveal unexpected issues, and my experience with the Bubble Cosmic Silk Hydrating Milky Toner was a perfect example. While the toner’s milky consistency absorbed nicely and didn't cause irritation or breakouts, I found an unusual, slimy, almost plastic-like substance mixed within the formula. I made sure to shake the bottle thoroughly each time, so it wasn’t a case of undissolved ingredients. The recurring appearance of these particles especially when the bottle was near empty was quite alarming.
This raised concerns about product safety and quality control, which are critical when applying products directly to the face daily. Sharing this on social media and contacting the brand seemed like the right thing to do; however, the lack of support from Bubble was disappointing. Asking for purchase proof when the product was gifted in a giveaway felt dismissive and put a sour note on an otherwise good skincare line.
Packaging also contributed negatively to the experience. The toner’s dispenser would shoot the product unpredictably if not closed carefully, making the application process frustrating. Additionally, the strong unpleasant scent detracted from the enjoyable texture and hydration it provided, which are key for hydrating toners like this.
Despite these drawbacks, I continued to use the toner because it suited my skin well and didn’t provoke any adverse reactions. However, discovering unknown substances mixed in with the product made me wary of using it to completion.
When choosing milky toners or hydrating toners, it’s important to watch not only for skin compatibility but also product quality and company responsiveness to customer concerns. Product safety should always come first, and transparent brand communication is essential to building trust. This experience taught me to verify brand reliability and product integrity more thoroughly, even with gifted items.
If anyone else has noticed similar 'foreign particles' in their Bubble Cosmic Silk Hydrating Milky Toner, sharing experiences can help bring awareness to the brand and potentially improve quality controls. Trying other milky toners from reputable brands might also be worth considering if you seek effective hydration without such issues. Overall, while the Bubble toner has great moisturizing benefits, the concerns I encountered unfortunately overshadow the positive aspects.
