Local Find 📍 Ocean City, NJ 🌊☀️

Today’s local find was a perfect summer evening in Ocean City. We parked right behind Bob’s on 14th Street (quick an easy handicap access) wandered the boardwalk with family, grabbed a slice from Alex’s Pizza To Go - one of the newest additions to the boardwalk this season 🍕—then stopped by OC Lobster Pot for a refreshing drink 🦞 before spending the rest of the evening shopping and soaking up the ocean breeze.

I’m spending my summer checking out local spots worth sharing, so if you’re looking for hidden gems, great food, coffee shops, boardwalk favorites, and fun day trips around South Jersey and the Philly area, follow along. I’ve got plenty more local finds coming your way! 📍✨

Parking behind Bob’s on 14th Street offered convenient and easy handicap access, which was a huge relief, ensuring everyone in my family could enjoy the evening comfortably. One highlight was trying Alex’s Pizza To Go, a new addition that perfectly nailed classic, tasting fresh and delicious—a must-try for boardwalk visitors craving a quick bite. Their slices reminded me of the authentic, cozy pizzerias that have been serving since 1961, a local pizza legacy you can feel in every bite. Afterward, stopping by OC Lobster Pot was a refreshing treat—the ambiance combined with their signature drinks, including some tantalizing seafood-inspired refreshments, made it a perfect pause in our stroll. It’s these hidden gems that make Ocean City special, blending family fun with local flavors. I also discovered that the boardwalk is rich with options beyond food—small shops and boutiques suited for casual browsing and picking up souvenirs, all while enjoying the coastal breeze. Exploring local treasures like candy shops, coffee spots serving milkshakes, and even sushi options added variety to the experience. If you’re planning a trip to Ocean City or the South Jersey area, I recommend starting at the 14th Street parking area for ease, then walking the boardwalk at a leisurely pace to take in all the flavors and sights. Each stop offers something unique, and combined these experiences create a memorable day trip perfect for families, couples, or solo travelers seeking a laid-back coastal escape. Keep an eye out for seasonal events and local festivals on the boardwalk—they often feature live music and specialty foods that add even more charm to your visit. Ocean City’s friendly vibe and accessible attractions make it an ideal destination to uncover small-town wonders and classic summer joys.
