NOT IN LOVE - Very Honest Review 😬

I hate writing bad reviews but I really just needed to get this off my chest because I was super disappointed.
Let me start off by saying I have loved Ali Hazelwood's writing. I gave Love Theoretically five stars, I gave Bride 5 stars, and when I saw the cover of this book I fell in love with the artwork and immediately had high hopes that this would become another favorite. I am so disappointed to say...Not In Love fell flat.
I am well aware this is a STEM romance but it felt like half of what I was reading was unnecessary science/ business talk, I got bored very quickly.
The story lacked a solid emotional relationship between Florence and the reader and so honestly...l didn't really care that the narrative was that Eli was trying to steal her work. Also Rue has a personality of a cardboard box, I hated being inside her head. I couldn't fathom that Eli's obsession with her could anything more than lust.
When I started to feel the trend would end up being, they get together, then she ignores him, then they get together, then she ignores him again, I went straight to the Goodreads reviews to see if I should continue to push through.
After reading a few, it didn't look too bright.
I have decided to DNF and unless someone can convince me to keep going I think I'll be able to sleep soundly knowing I didn't waste my time.
Also we get it... Rue is tall 🙄.
