gotta act like i’m ok👍
You know that feeling? The one where you just have to put on a brave face, even when your world feels like it's crumbling? That’s me, right now. It’s been one of those nights where I’m pretty sure I’ll be awake until like 3 AM, just staring at the ceiling, replaying everything in my head. My phone, bless its heart, actually gave me a warning today – BRO MY PHONE CAN'T HANDLE THATTTT many notifications and calls from friends checking in. It's sweet, but also a reminder of how much I'm trying to hide. The truth is, I’m CRYING RN, like, properly ugly crying. But if you saw me tomorrow, I’d probably be smiling, cracking jokes, and pretending like nothing's wrong. It's exhausting, this act. Especially after what happened. HE SAID HE BROKE THEM, and it wasn't just physical things; it felt like he broke *us*, broke my trust, broke what I thought we had. It's a weight, carrying all this inside. Sometimes I wish I could just curl up and disappear, but life doesn't stop, does it? There are responsibilities, people who rely on me, and I keep telling myself, I'll make sure to stay happy for you tho. It's a promise I make to myself and to them, even if it feels like a lie I'm whispering to my own heart. So, how do you even begin coping a feel when you're in this space? When you're trying to navigate intense sadness but also maintain some semblance of normalcy? For me, it's a constant battle. I try to journal, to pour out all these thoughts that race through my mind at 2 AM. Sometimes I put on my favorite playlist and just let the music wash over me, hoping it carries away some of the pain. Other times, I distract myself with mindless tasks, anything to keep my brain from spiraling. I've found that sometimes just a hot shower can help reset my mind, or a short walk outside, even if I'm just listening to a podcast to drown out the noise in my head. It's about finding those small, personal anchors. It's not easy. There are moments when the facade cracks, and I just need a quiet corner to let a few tears fall. I’m learning that it’s okay to not be okay, even if I have to act like it sometimes. It’s a process, learning to acknowledge the pain without letting it completely consume me. It’s about finding those tiny moments of peace, even amidst the chaos. And maybe, just maybe, one day I won't have to act anymore. I'll just be okay. Until then, we keep going, one fake smile, one late night, one tearful whisper at a time. It’s real, it’s hard, but we're not alone in feeling this way. If you're out there feeling this too, know you're seen. We'll get through this, one day at a time, finding our own ways to cope with these feels.
