Reflecting on James 4:7, "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you," I have found that true surrender to God requires intentional daily commitment. It’s not just about a single moment of decision, but an ongoing process of trusting God's plan and aligning your will with His. In my own experience, submitting to God means prioritizing prayer and scripture reading, which strengthens my ability to recognize and resist temptations. When challenges arise, I remind myself of this verse, which serves as a powerful reminder that resistance is possible through faith. Additionally, surrounding yourself with a supportive spiritual community can reinforce your resolve. Sharing struggles and victories helps maintain encouragement and accountability. Resisting the devil isn’t about fear but about confidence based on God’s promises. His Word is a protective shield, and by embracing it, you invite peace and spiritual victory into your life. This journey of submission has been transformative, offering deep peace beyond circumstances and the strength to overcome adversity.
