@americandream was evacuated early Tuesday
evening at around 5:30PM due to a Tesla legally parked in the malls parking deck with its side door left open.
Many felt that it was suspicious so a K-9 sweep of the vehicle was made, which resulted in a positive alert.
"Out of an abundance of caution the American dream was evacuated." Said Sergeant, Jeffery Lebron of NJ state police.
Multiple sweeps were performed by other K-9 units which all resulted in positive alerts. Both the NJ and Bergen County bomb unit thoroughly cleared the vehicle and found no indication of any devices.
The mall has since re-opened.
