went to local town to attend famous rodeo & dance
one of the things famous in this area of West Central Texas which is located in North Babylon southeast of Lubbock and south of Wichita falls and west of fort Worth this whole region is a lot of smaller towns population anywhere from less than a thousand up to 3 4 5,000 population it's very rural area with farming ranching and oil also wind farms and solar farms becoming very popular but but one of the great traditions and events here that's gone on since they first started in 1930 is the Texas cowboy Reunion which is located in Stamford Texas it's a rodeo including dance also they have art show there with exhibits and it's always held around the 4th of July this year of course it started with a parade and then the rodeo itself on Wednesday I continued on Thursday and this photos are for today Friday and it'll also wrap up probably the biggest day of the rodeo on Saturday and it's I really a great tradition that has been long withstanding I have gone to this probably since high school and definitely since college not every year unfortunately I regret that but these photos are some googling about it and then also photos well mostly videos I actually filmed but of course lemon is going to not allow the music which is an absolute horrible Injustice that you're not able to actually hear and enjoy the band and the fireworks going off and then just the clapping and and hooting and hollering of so many people having such a great time and it is had rain the last couple days I think obviously they took some rain there during the day I don't know that they did last night I live within a 25 mile radius of there and and had rain also here so I hope you enjoy it I hope you remember it and hope if you ever have an opportunity to attend it you do it's it's one of those bucket list things that special for people in Texas or even you know the neighboring states it's worth the time and especially with it going on traditionally some years depending on when the fourth falls within the Wake it will last 4-5 days and the art and poet displays will start in the morning with the rodeo I assume actually starting I guess early morning probably by 8:00 a.m. and then around 9:00 the rodeo ends and the dance starts until 12:00 or longer depending if the crowd can coach the band to continue playing but even after they had stopped you know there's still some music going on for a while it was 12:40 before I left!!! and there were still people dancing while others were starting to gradually leave and head to the vehicles so I highly recommend it it's a great event that helps this local city and I assume many projects that might get funded from it!!!
