How do you love on yourself?
So I’m kicking off a new series of tips that I feel have worked for me and maybe can work for you. Being your best self sometimes means tapping into your community so let’s get into it.
Tip 1: You deserve to rest without guilt. Full stop.
Let’s be clear—rest isn’t some luxury you “earn” after working yourself to the bone. It’s a requirement if you plan on being the powerhouse you say you are. 💅🏾
Burnout? We don’t know her.
Guilt? She can sit this one out.
Say it with me: “My rest is not a reward; it is a requirement.”
So tell me, What’s one way you give yourself permission to rest?

In today's fast-paced world, self-love is often overlooked, but it is essential for mental and emotional well-being. One key aspect of self-love is understanding the importance of rest. Too often, we equate rest with weakness or think that we must work tirelessly without breaks to achieve our goals. This harmful belief can lead to burnout and increased anxiety. To combat this, make it a priority to carve out time for yourself—whether it’s indulging in a book, meditating, or simply taking a nap. Remember, rest is not a luxury; it's a necessity for creativity and productivity. By recognizing that your productivity will increase and your creativity will flourish with adequate rest, you choose to break the cycle of overworking. It’s crucial to establish a balance between work and self-care. Additionally, finding a supportive community can enhance your self-love journey. Share your goals and experiences with friends or online groups that encourage healthy habits. Engaging in discussions about mental health and self-care can provide further inspiration and motivation. Incorporate self-care routines, where you schedule regular breaks, slow down, and create a practice of mindfulness. Prioritizing rest and self-care not only strengthens your mission to love yourself but also empowers others to join in the journey. Embrace the notion that resting is a form of self-respect, and allow yourself to experience the benefits it brings.
