✨ Happy Update ✨
Dooley, our little head-quiver guy, had a follow-up today and is doing AMAZING 🤍
He’s gained weight, his quiver is barely noticeable, and his ears have healed beautifully. He was neutered and had 5 baby teeth pulled and is now officially cleared by our vet 🩺✨
He may always be a little special-needs — and his foster mom is very smitten… so adoption availability is TBD 👀💕
Stay tuned 🐾

Caring for a special-needs dog like Dooley can be a truly rewarding experience that comes with unique challenges and triumphs. Dogs with conditions that cause symptoms such as head quivering often require extra patience, veterinary care, and a loving environment to thrive. Regular follow-ups with a veterinarian are essential to track progress, adjust treatments, and ensure the pet’s comfort and health stability. Neutering and dental care, such as Dooley's five baby teeth removal, play a significant role in improving overall wellbeing. Dental issues in dogs can cause significant discomfort and lead to infections if untreated. Removing baby teeth when necessary promotes better oral health and can prevent future complications. Fostering a special-needs dog often entails close observation of physical and behavioral changes. Weight gain in a recovering dog like Dooley indicates good nutrition and care, while the healing of wounds or other physical symptoms reflects successful treatment. Being smitten with the pet is a common experience among foster caregivers, highlighting the deep emotional bonds that form during these critical rehabilitation phases. Adoption decisions for special-needs animals can be complex and are often carefully considered based on the dog's health and compatibility with potential adopters. The foster environment offers a safe and nurturing space for these dogs to get stronger and more confident.
