Range of motion gets a lot of hype, and for good reason, it IS important to be able to move your body through a full range of motion, HOWEVER, if you're feeling any pain or discomfort, you can shorten the range of motion.
It doesn't mean your exercise is incorrect.
It doesn't mean it's ineffective.
Just because your skeletal system can move through a full range of motion, your muscular system doesn't always have to.
Hope this helps! ❤️

Range of motion is crucial for optimal performance during workouts, but it's important to listen to your body. If you experience pain during exercise, modify your range of motion as needed. It's a common misconception that limiting your movement means you're not exercising effectively. In fact, many fitness professionals promote the value of adjusting your workouts to avoid injury while still achieving fitness goals. Whether you focus on flexibility, strength, or stability, remember that your comfort is essential. Additionally, working on strengthening surrounding muscles can help increase your range of motion over time. Consider integrating mobility exercises aimed at enhancing joint function and flexibility into your routine. Incorporating these practices can pave the way for more effective workouts and help prevent injuries. Always consult with a fitness expert when in doubt about your form or exercise modifications to ensure that you’re training safely and effectively.
