One interesting thing I noticed is how varied each state feels, whether it's the desert vibes of Arizona or the Midwest charm in Ohio.
Arizona captivated me with its stunning natural beauty, especially places like the Grand Canyon and Sedona’s red rock formations. The warm weather and outdoor activities make it a fantastic destination year-round. Ohio, on the other hand, surprised me with its blend of urban excitement and scenic countryside. Cities like Columbus and Cincinnati offer vibrant arts scenes and great food, while areas like Hocking Hills provide peaceful nature escapes.
According to a recent map I saw labeled 'Lemon8 States I've Been To,' I’ve covered about 70% of the U.S. It’s satisfying to see those states checked off and reminds me of all the stories and moments attached to each visit. Traveling extensively also taught me the importance of planning and being open to spontaneous detours; some of my best memories came from unexpected stops.
If you're passionate about seeing as much of the U.S. as possible, I recommend making a travel journal to keep track. It’s rewarding to reflect on the different experiences, local foods, and people you encounter along the way. Plus, sharing your journey, like using hashtags such as #statesivebeento, can connect you with fellow travel enthusiasts and swap tips.
Every state has something unique to offer, and at 35 states down, I’m excited to continue exploring the remaining ones. Whether it’s the landscapes, culture, or food that draws you in, traveling across multiple states broadens your perspective and enriches your understanding of America’s vast diversity.
