Honestly, the service industry feels important to me because it’s the kind of work I’ve actually done and seen up close. When you’re in retail or any customer job, you realize real quick how much people depend on you just to get through their day. You’re helping folks, answering stuff, dealing with attitudes, all that. It teaches you patience and how to talk to people, even when you tired or stressed. And even though the work don’t always get the respect it should, it keeps the whole community running. That’s why I think it matters way more than people act like.
