Meals as a college student who has the day off

On Thursdays, I have class and work off! It’s super nice to relax and decompress for one day.

I started off the day with 2 hard boiled eggs and a blueberry bagel. I just got them at the store and they are surprisingly good! 14g of protein per bagel 😝

then for lunch, I made ground beef and had some homemade sweet potato fries. They are super easy to make and are delicious for the next week or so.

Dinner time!!! My sorority has a chef and we get dinner every night! It’s so awesome. Our dinner today was fried pork chop, corn, mashed potatoes, and roll!!!!! Dinner roll was so good😍😍

Starting the day with 2 hard boiled eggs alongside a blueberry bagel is a smart choice since it combines protein and energy-giving carbs. Blueberry bagels can offer around 14g of protein, making them a filling breakfast option that supports muscle recovery and keeps you energized through the morning. For lunch, making ground beef paired with homemade sweet potato fries is an excellent way to get essential nutrients. Ground beef provides a rich source of iron and protein, crucial for academic performance and overall wellness. Sweet potatoes are a fantastic substitute for traditional fries; they are rich in fiber, vitamins A and C, and antioxidants that promote health and sustained energy release. Making these fries at home means you can customize them with your favorite spices and bake them for a healthier alternative to deep-fried versions. Dinner provided by a sorority chef is a true luxury and reflects the benefits of community living. Fried pork chop, corn, mashed potatoes, and a soft dinner roll combine comfort food with balanced portions of protein, vegetables, and carbs. Having access to such meals nightly not only helps reduce meal prep stress but also ensures consistent nutrition. The dinner roll is especially delightful, adding that warm, satisfying touch that makes dinner feel complete. Overall, these meals show practical ways for students to combine convenience, taste, and nutrition on their days off. Preparing meals with real ingredients and balancing macronutrients helps in maintaining energy and focus, vital for any college lifestyle. Try incorporating simple recipes like hard boiled eggs or homemade sweet potato fries in your weekly routine to enjoy tasty and wholesome food without spending too much time cooking. These realistic ideas emphasize how easy it is to enjoy good food as a busy student, especially on days dedicated to rest and recharging.
