Surf & Turf Plate with Garlic Butter Steak, Cajun Shrimp, Rice & Cheesy Broccoli 🍤
A luxurious, flavor-packed dinner featuring juicy garlic herb steak, spicy Cajun shrimp over seasoned rice, and tender broccoli topped with melted cheese. Perfect for a special homemade feast!
Ingredients
1 steak (sirloin, ribeye, or strip cut)
6–8 shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 cup cooked rice
1 cup broccoli florets
1 tbsp butter (for steak)
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp minced garlic
½ tsp Cajun seasoning
¼ cup shredded cheddar cheese
Salt & pepper to taste
Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Directions
Cook the steak:
Season steak with salt, pepper, and garlic.
Heat butter and olive oil in a pan.
Sear steak 4–5 minutes per side (depending on thickness).
Rest 5 minutes before serving.
Make the shrimp:
In the same pan, add a touch more oil.
Add shrimp, bell peppers, and Cajun seasoning.
Cook 2–3 minutes per side until pink and slightly crisp.
Prepare broccoli:
Steam or boil broccoli for 3–4 minutes until tender.
Drizzle with melted cheese or sprinkle cheddar over the top.
Assemble the plate:
Place steak on one side, shrimp over rice, and broccoli on the other.
Garnish with fresh parsley or a squeeze of lemon.
