I’ve noticed that Bombsight doesn’t pursue violence for its own sake. For instance, during conflicts, he refrains from unnecessary bloodshed, something most Supes would not hesitate to unleash. This restraint shows a smarter, more calculating mindset focused on survival and long-term peace rather than immediate power grabs. What's refreshing is Bombsight’s candidness. His speech patterns and demeanor come across as genuinely human—no fake superiority or arrogance like Homelander's. This makes me feel like he's someone you could actually relate to, which is unusual for a superhero character who usually carries an exaggerated ego. Moreover, Bombsight’s desire to retire and grow old normally with the woman he loves reflects a deeply human side rarely shown in this genre. It contrasts sharply with Soldier Boy’s obsession with fame and Homelander’s hunger for control, highlighting Bombsight’s originality and emotional depth. From a storytelling perspective, this also makes Bombsight an intriguing foil to the more bombastic characters. It adds complexity to the narrative, showing that not all heroes are defined by their powers or their thirst for dominance—some just want peace. Personally, I find this perspective refreshing and more relatable, adding layers to how we understand heroism in The Boys universe.
