Pool update because y’all have definitely had opinions. 😂 Would I do it again even after all the comments? HELL YEA I WOULD. PERIOD. At the end of the day, my kids have a safe, clean place to swim and play for the rest of the summer. That’s what matters to me. And honestly? That liner is nice and thick. It doesn’t feel any different than the more expensive pool I got rid of. Will we upgrade again someday? Probably! If this one is still in great shape when we’re done with it, I’ll gladly donate it so another family can enjoy it. If it’s worn out or broken, then yep, it’ll go in the trash. That’s how literally everything works.

Until then, the kids are happy, I’m happy, and that’s a win in my book. 🏊‍♀️☀️❤️

... Read moreI recently went through the process of choosing a backyard pool for my family, and let me tell you, it came with a lot of mixed opinions from friends and online forums. But after using a pool with a thick, durable liner for the summer, I can confidently say I’d choose it again without hesitation. The key advantage for me has been providing my kids a safe and clean place to enjoy the water right at home, which is priceless during these warm months. From my experience, investing in a pool with a solid liner makes a huge difference. It holds up surprisingly well compared to more expensive options, resisting wear and tear better than I expected. We’ve seen plenty of joy, splashes, and backyard memories created around this pool. Plus, the idea of donating it if it’s still functional at the end of its season gives it a sustainable lifecycle that I really appreciate. For parents considering a backyard pool, I’d recommend focusing on safety features and durability rather than just brand names or price tags. Think about how much your kids will benefit from the daily swim and play, and you’ll feel better about the investment. Upgrading down the road is always an option, but having a solid starter pool has made our summer so much more enjoyable already. All in all, the happiness of my kids and peace of mind for me—that’s what truly counts. Swimming pools don’t have to be fancy or expensive to create amazing summer fun and family bonding. This update is a testament to choosing practicality and joy over perfection, and that’s a win in my book.
