🥩 The Best Beef Steak in Bangkok 🇹🇭

Finally tried the best steak in town according to @fēng who should get the full credit of booking this place.

We had appetisers like the Truffle Mashed Potato & Beef Tongue! Imagine a meat melting in your mouth, well thats how the beef tongue’s gonna taste!

Then we had the mains

- Beef Baked Rice: which i thought it was gonna taste dry but i was sooo wrong. The meat was sooo soft and rice was v moist! Couldnt tell it was baked rice!

- Sirloin: The popular cut, can never go wrong so it is as good as it gets! A nice amount of lean & fattiness made this one of the best steak i’ve eaten

- Flat iron: This was THE BEST. And i thought it would be tough to cut and bite considering it is medium rare but i was mistakenly wrong. The meat was sooo tender! 😋

To top it off we had their dessert that was 👌🏼.

If you are interested, you will need to book Mahasan extremely early, often months in advance, because it's a very small, popular restaurant with only 7 tables, a single chef, and immense demand for its specialized Thai-style grilled beef. Sometimes its a 2-3 months wait or even longer for a table, so do aim to book as soon soon as reservations open!

As you can see, they clearly dont need to do their own marketing. It was that good. So they wouldnt announce when its available for booking either. 😂

Not sponsored ok! But if you would like to reserve this you can head over to https://www.mahasanbkk.com/. all the best in booking it before your trip there!!

... Read moreIf you’re a steak lover visiting Bangkok, Mahasan should definitely be on your must-try list. What makes Mahasan stand out is not just the quality of the beef cuts but also the unique Thai-style preparation that infuses familiar flavors in unexpected, delightful ways. The flat iron steak, which many expect to be tough, surprises with incredible tenderness, especially when cooked medium rare. This shows the chef’s expertise and commitment to quality. The beef baked rice is another hidden gem. Unlike traditional baked rice that might feel dry, Mahasan’s version is juicy and flavorful, making it a perfect main dish on its own. The use of a truffle egg adds an aromatic richness that complements the beef perfectly. From my experience, ordering the truffle mashed potato and beef tongue as appetizers also adds a luxurious start to the meal. The beef tongue melts in your mouth with its soft texture, which is a rare experience if you haven’t tried it before. Keep in mind, Mahasan has only 7 tables and is run by a single chef, so the intimate dining experience feels exclusive but requires early reservation—often 2 to 3 months in advance. This exclusivity contributes to the high demand and incredible word-of-mouth reputation, as the restaurant doesn’t do formal marketing. Trust me, it’s worth the wait! To top off the meal, don’t skip their desserts like the mandarin orange granita and Earl Grey pudding, which provide a refreshing and subtle sweet finish. Booking tips: Monitor the Mahasan website closely as reservations open sporadically and seating fills up fast. Planning ahead and booking as soon as possible will maximize your chance to try one of Bangkok’s culinary treasures. Exploring local food blogs and forums can also provide the latest booking updates. Overall, Mahasan offers more than just a steak; it provides an authentic and unforgettable dining experience with an exciting Thai twist on a classic Western dish. If you’re in Bangkok, this is a steak adventure you won’t want to miss.
