It’s such a cool, unexpected spot for a photo op or just to relax and soak in the city’s unique charm. And while the Downtown Aquarium Ferris wheel might seem familiar, riding it offers some truly spectacular views of the Houston skyscrapers, especially at sunset – it feels like a secret city perspective. I also loved exploring the city's vibrant art scene. Keep an eye out for colorful murals on buildings; I saw one depicting a figure in a helmet holding a heart, surrounded by cityscapes, which was super inspiring. And, of course, taking a picture with the 'WE ❤️ HOUSTON' sign in colorful block letters is a must-do to capture those perfect travel memories. For those who love a good cocktail, Houston's bar scene has some hidden gems too. We found a place serving up incredibly creative drinks – one orange with a chili-dusted rim and a dried orange slice, and another blue one with a lemon slice and a disco ball stirrer!
