Gaming Smite
Hey everyone! I wanted to share my absolute favorite Smite Cupid build that I've been using to great success lately. If you're looking to dominate the duo lane and carry your team as this adorable, yet deadly, god, then you're in the right place! First off, Cupid is an amazing hunter with incredible burst damage and sustain. His Heart Bomb (Ability 1) is your primary clear and poke tool, while Share the Love (Ability 2) gives you vital healing and attack speed buffs. Flutter (Ability 3) is your essential escape and chase, and Fields of Love (Ultimate) is a game-changing area-of-effect ability. Ability Leveling Order: I usually prioritize Heart Bomb (1) first for wave clear and poke, then Share the Love (2) for sustain, and Flutter (3) last. Of course, always put a point into your ultimate, Fields of Love (4), whenever possible (levels 5, 9, 13, 17, 20). My Go-To Item Build: Start: Gilded Arrow (or Hunter's Cowl if you prefer more aggressive early game), 2 Healing Potions, 1 Mana Potion. Gilded Arrow helps with your gold farm, which is crucial for hunters. First Back: You want to rush your first tier 3 item. My personal favorite is Devourer's Gauntlet. It gives you amazing lifesteal and power once stacked, which turns Cupid into an absolute monster in sustained fights. Core Items: After Devos, I usually go for Ninja Tabi for the attack speed and movement speed. Then, it’s all about maximizing damage. The Executioner is next for shredding enemy protections, followed by Qin's Sais to deal with tanks and provide even more attack speed. Penetration/Crit: Your fifth item can be situational. If they have a lot of squishies, Rage into Deathbringer for crit is devastating. If they are tanky, Titan's Bane is a solid choice to further increase your penetration. Last Item: For your final item, if you went crit, finish with Wind Demon or Poisoned Star. If you need more lifesteal, Asi is great. Sometimes, if I'm getting focused, I'll even grab a defensive item like Mantle of Discord or Spirit Robe, but usually, as Cupid, you want to melt everyone before they can get to you! Relics: I almost always start with Aegis Amulet and Purification Beads. These are lifesavers against high-burst mages and CC-heavy gods. Later in the game, I might swap one out for Horrific Emblem for more team fight control or Heavenly Wings for chases/escapes. Tips for Playing Cupid: Laning Phase: Focus on farming. Use Heart Bomb to clear waves and poke enemies. Don't be afraid to use Share the Love for mana regen and healing in lane. Mid-Game: Look for opportunities to rotate. Your ultimate, Fields of Love, is incredibly powerful in jungle skirmishes or securing objectives. Remember how effective a well-placed ultimate can be, just like how a Kuku ult can turn a fight! Team Fights: Position safely. You're squishy, so stay behind your frontline. Use Heart Bomb on high-priority targets. Your ultimate can zone enemies, set up kills, or even peel for yourself. Try to combine your ultimate with other CC from your team for maximum impact. Heart Bomb Combos: You can basic attack immediately after casting Heart Bomb to quickly detonate it. Practice this! Flutter Usage: Don't just use Flutter blindly. It's your only escape, so save it for when you absolutely need it or for a confirmed kill if you're safe. This build and these tips have really helped me improve my Cupid gameplay. I hope they help you conquer the Smite battlefield too. Let me know your favorite Cupid builds in the comments!
