Read and pray with me 🌸
From the “the power of a praying mother” so good. Keep praying the Lord hears our prayers over our kids and the next generation.
Building on my last post about the immense power of a praying mother, I wanted to dive deeper into how we can truly become spiritual warriors for our families. It's more than just saying a quick prayer; it's about actively engaging in spiritual warfare, clothed in God's strength. I often reflect on Ephesians 6:10, urging us to 'be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.' As mothers, we are truly called to be warriors for our families. The images I've shared beautifully illustrate this spiritual battle we're in, depicting the full Armor of God. It visually reminds me of the spiritual armor pieces like the Sword of the Spirit and the Shield of Faith that are available to us. Understanding and applying the Armor of God from Ephesians 6:10-18 is crucial. I make it a daily practice to pray on this armor. It's not just a concept; it's a powerful declaration over myself and my loved ones. I pray for the Belt of Truth to guide my children's steps, the Breastplate of Righteousness to guard their hearts against evil, and the Shoes of Peace to lead them towards God's path. My Shield of Faith empowers me to block every fiery dart of the enemy, and the Helmet of Salvation protects their minds from negative thoughts and influences. And with the Sword of the Spirit, which is God's Word, we actively fight spiritually, declaring victory in every situation. My heart's deep desire, as I know many of yours too, is the deliverance of our children from ungodliness and strongholds. There's a prayer from Matthew 10:26 that deeply resonates, asking for deliverance for a child from these very things. We're tearing down strongholds with powerful prayers, just like 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 encourages us: 'For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds.' This isn't just about protection; it's about seeing our children thrive in God's purpose. I pray for wisdom and discernment to recognize and defeat the enemy's schemes, just as the prayer from Ephesians 6:10-11 emphasizes, asking for guidance to recognize and defeat the enemy. There's nothing quite like a family that prays together. I've found that when we gather to pray, it truly binds us, creating a powerful spiritual hedge around our home. And for those moments of personal anxiety, turning to these powerful scriptures and prayers for protection, knowing God hears us, helps release that burden. It’s a constant reminder that we don't fight alone; God's power is with us, a mighty prayer indeed. Keep praying, mamas! Our prayers are heard, they are mighty, and they shape the next generation. Let's continue to be strong in the Lord, fully armored and ready to stand for our families. What a privilege it is to be a praying momma!
