The skincare routine that cleared my skin🍋
The main thing i noticed that made the biggest difference is the PanOxyl face wash. As soon as i switched to that face wash all my acne went away. Another thing i feel makes a difference is finding a brand that works for you. I used a lot of the Ordinary (still use some) but i felt like once i repurchased a product it would stop working. This hasn’t been the case with Byoma and have repurchased most of the stuff i have. I am trying out the Byoma toner but i used to use the Ordinary glycolic acid instead and i still love that stuff. My main problem now is getting rid of my acne scars. I’m currently using the walgreens brand scar gel but if anyone has any recommend please let me know!!!

After my skin cleared up with PanOxyl, I realized it wasn't just about finding the right product, but also knowing how to use it effectively within a complete routine. Many of you might be wondering about the best 'benzoyl peroxide face wash routine' or if you even 'wash off benzoyl peroxide'. Let me share what truly clicked for me! My morning routine starts with the PanOxyl 10% benzoyl peroxide acne foaming wash. I know 10% sounds strong, but my skin adjusted over time. I gently massage it onto my damp face for about 60 seconds, making sure to cover all breakout-prone areas. Yes, you definitely 'wash off benzoyl peroxide'! It’s not a leave-on treatment. Rinsing thoroughly is key to prevent irritation, especially around sensitive areas. This step is crucial for tackling active breakouts and preventing new ones by killing acne-causing bacteria. After cleansing, I follow up with a hydrating toner (like The Ordinary Glycolic Acid I used to love, or the Byoma toner I'm currently trying). Then, a good moisturizer is non-negotiable, especially when using active ingredients like benzoyl peroxide. The Byoma 'moisturizing gel-cream' has been a lifesaver – it hydrates without feeling heavy or making my skin oily, which is perfect for acne-prone skin. It contains ingredients that help prevent future breakouts too, which is a huge plus! In the evenings, I sometimes use a gentler cleanser first, especially if I’ve worn makeup, before going in with the PanOxyl again. Consistency is vital for a 'benzoyl peroxide skincare routine' to be effective. After cleansing and toning, I'll apply a 'clarifying serum'. I've noticed this helps with skin texture and overall clarity, contributing to that 'after' glow. And, of course, no skincare routine, especially one involving active ingredients like benzoyl peroxide, is complete without sunscreen in the morning! It protects your skin from UV damage, which is essential for preventing hyperpigmentation and premature aging. Now, regarding those stubborn acne scars – I mentioned I'm still working on them. Clearing the active acne was step one, but fading the 'after' marks is a whole new challenge. I’m currently using a Walgreens brand scar gel, but I've heard great things about ingredients like Vitamin C serums, retinoids (introduced carefully and slowly!), and niacinamide for improving skin tone and texture. Chemical exfoliants like AHAs (alpha hydroxy acids) can also help to gently resurface the skin over time. I'm actively researching and trying different options to find what truly helps with post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. It’s a journey, but seeing the clear skin underneath makes it all worth it!
