One week update

It’s officially been one week without my husband and I’ve wrote 3 letters so far. Learning to be okay with being alone has truly brought me peace in a reassuring way. I know it’s only been a week, but I’m finding small victories in the little things.

•1• I’ve found peace within myself and have became self motivated, previously I do everything to appease others, or I do things to make sure no one is upset with me. I’m a chronic people pleaser. I’ve now started doing things for myself and to better my well being.

•2• Doom scrolling: a very tricky topic for me, I’ve been working on not checking my phone first thing when I wake up. It’s a very unhealthy habit that I’d like to nip in the butt.

•3• reaching out to people/ asking for help:

Being vulnerable is hard for me, asking others for help has always been hard for me. I would always ask my husband for help but I’ve had to learn to reach out to others (painfully hard) I’ve reached out to friends in times of need.

In the end I’ve done a lot of self growth in this past week. I’m learning to slow down and enjoy the little things in life, and to hug my friends a little tighter each time I see them. Never take any moment (good or bad) for granted in life. Because how blessed are we to even get to experience this life?
