... Read moreHey lovelies! You might have seen my latest post, rocking that leopard print camisole with my favorite tattoos and accessories. That confident look, staring right at the camera, wasn't always easy for me to achieve, but it’s a journey I’m so proud of. When I first heard the term 'disabled BBW,' it felt like a label, but over time, I've learned to embrace it as a powerful part of my identity. I know many of you might search for this term, looking for connection, inspiration, or just someone who gets it. So, I wanted to share a little more about my journey to self-love and how I’ve found my unique style. For so long, society told me what I ‘should’ be – how I ‘should’ look, how I ‘should’ dress, especially with the added layer of navigating life with a disability. But honestly, darling, true self-love comes from within, not from external expectations. It’s about celebrating every curve, every scar, every part of what makes you, YOU. My dark curly hair, my tattoos – they’re all part of my story, my canvas. Learning to appreciate these things, rather than hide them, was a game-changer. When it comes to fashion, finding clothes that make you feel amazing is key. As a BBW, it’s not always about following trends, but about finding what truly flatters and provides comfort. For me, that often means prioritizing fabrics that feel good against my skin and cuts that allow for ease of movement. Don't shy away from bold prints like my leopard print camisole; they can be incredibly empowering! I love experimenting with different styles – from flowy tops to structured pieces – and pairing them with statement accessories like my rings and bracelets. These little touches really add to my personal flair and make me feel put-together. Don't forget that a perfectly fitted bra can literally change your whole outfit and boost your confidence instantly. Another big part of my journey has been building confidence beyond just my wardrobe. It’s about surrounding myself with positivity, practicing self-care, and acknowledging my strengths. Some days are harder than others, but remembering that my worth isn't tied to my physical abilities or societal beauty standards helps immensely. It’s also about finding joy in the small things, whether it's enjoying a delicious meal, spending time with loved ones, or just appreciating a moment of peace. If you’re a disabled BBW out there, searching for your tribe or just some encouragement, know that you are seen, valued, and beautiful. Don't let anyone dim your sparkle. Take those steps, big or small, to celebrate yourself. What are your favorite tips for feeling confident and stylish? I’d love to hear them in the comments below! Let’s build a community where we uplift each other and embrace our true, authentic selves, flaws and all.
