I’ve stayed quiet for a long time, protecting someone who never protected me.

But silence only protects the guilty, and I’m done carrying that weight.

I’m done pretending you matter more than you do.

You always had an opinion, but you never had my back.

I made room in my life for you, and you filled it with excuses.

That says everything.

I stopped waiting for you to show up the day I realized you were choosing not to.

Fuck you.

You’re a filthy, disgusting, deadbeat excuse of a “mom.”

You don’t deserve the title.

You failed me in every way that mattered, and the only thing you’ve taught me is exactly who I never want to be.

You never showed up.

You never protected me.

And you damn sure never acted like a mother.

You think giving birth gave you a title? It didn’t.

It just gave you a responsibility you ran from.

You’re selfish, pathetic, and sad.

Every excuse you’ve made, every time you put yourself first, every time you chose to ignore me… that’s your legacy.

I don’t look at you and see a mother.

I look at you and see a warning.

A reminder of what I will never become.

And that’s the only gift you’ve ever given me:

proof that blood means nothing without respect, love, and loyalty.

You don’t deserve me.

You don’t deserve my time, my words, or my love.

You never earned them, and from now on, you don’t get them.

You could never be a mom!! Just a woman who failed her kids.

You chose everyone and everything over us, especially me.

I’m ashamed to share blood with you.

You’ve always been dead weight in my life and now I’m cutting that weight loose.
