Gym anxiety is real 🫣
I got over my gym anxiety a few months ago and it’s been great! Here’s how I got over my GYM ANXIETY 🫣:
1.) Dressing comfortable - I stopped worrying about what I looked like to others and wore what I felt comfortable working out in. Rather that’s sweatpants or my favorite jumpsuit. 🥰
2.) Recording - I KNOW! I KNOW! But listen. Recording helped me see my flaws and perfect my posture when working out. Plus it’s content! ☺️
3.) I started understanding we are all at the gym with the same purpose and that’s to reach a body goal. My goal might not be the same as someone else’s but it’s MY goal and nothing will stop me from reaching it.
4.) Early sessions - I found it going early there isn’t as many people which makes it more easier to flow throughout the gym.

Gym anxiety is a common challenge faced by many fitness enthusiasts, often stemming from feelings of self-consciousness or intimidation in a gym environment. It’s crucial to recognize that most people in the gym are focused on their own routines, and understanding this can help reduce anxiety. Dressing comfortably is a key factor; wear attire that makes you feel good and confident rather than overly concerned about appearances. Recording workouts is another effective approach. This practice not only allows you to review your form and improve your technique but also helps document your progress, which can be a great motivator. Moreover, choosing quieter times to work out can help ease tension, making it easier to get into the flow of exercising without distractions. Engaging with others who share similar fitness goals or facing gym anxiety can also provide support. Many gyms offer classes or group sessions that foster a sense of community, making it easier to bond with fellow attendees. Remember, everyone is on their unique fitness journey; celebrating personal goals, no matter how small, is what truly matters. Embrace your own pace, and soon you'll find that the gym can be a welcoming space for growth and confidence.
