My yummy breakfast rotation
Can you guys tell what my fav is #caloriedeficit
It's so easy to get stuck in a breakfast rut, isn't it? But trust me, creating a healthy breakfast rotation was a game-changer for me, especially when I was focusing on a calorie deficit to lose weight. It's not just about what you eat, but also keeping things exciting so you don't get bored and reach for less healthy options. Why bother with a rotation? First, variety is the spice of life – and your diet! It ensures you're getting a broader range of nutrients. Secondly, it helps prevent palate fatigue, making healthy eating sustainable long-term. I used to eat the same thing every day, and eventually, I'd just give up. Now, my mornings are something I genuinely look forward to! When building your own healthy breakfast rotation, here are a few things I've learned that really make a difference: Prioritize Protein: This is key for satiety and muscle maintenance. I love incorporating options like nonfat plain Greek yogurt, which is packed with protein, or different forms of eggs. Think scrambled eggs, a quick egg white omelet with spinach and low-fat cheese, or even just a simple boiled egg on toast. Don't Forget Fiber: Fiber keeps you full and aids digestion. Whole grains like oatmeal, sourdough bread, or wheat toast are excellent bases. Adding fruits like berries, sliced banana, or chopped green apple with cinnamon to your oatmeal boosts fiber and natural sweetness. Include Healthy Fats (in moderation): Fats are essential, but portion control is important for a calorie deficit. My favorite is a slice of sourdough bread topped with mashed avocado and a chopped boiled egg. Smart Sweeteners: A little bit of honey or a drizzle of maple syrup can elevate a dish, but be mindful of the amounts. For my yogurt bowls, I add a touch of honey along with granola (check sugar content on granola!). Prep Ahead for Success: On busy mornings, having some components ready can save you. Hard-boil eggs, chop fruit, or even mix dry oatmeal ingredients the night before. This makes reaching for the healthy option so much easier. For anyone in a calorie deficit, it's all about making smart swaps. Instead of regular bacon, I often opt for turkey bacon. When I make protein waffles, I'm conscious of the portion size and the amount of maple syrup I use. Even small changes, like using nonfat yogurt or skipping extra butter on toast, add up. Some of my personal favorite combinations from my rotation include: A vibrant bowl of nonfat plain Greek yogurt with fresh blueberries or sliced banana, a sprinkle of low-sugar granola, and a tiny drizzle of honey. Savory mornings often feature protein waffles with scrambled eggs and two strips of turkey bacon. For something warm and comforting, I love brown sugar rolled oatmeal topped with fresh green apple and a dash of cinnamon. And of course, the classic: two slices of toasted sourdough bread with mashed avocado and a chopped boiled egg. Finding what works for you takes a little experimentation, but once you have a few go-to healthy breakfast options in your rotation, staying on track with your health goals becomes so much simpler and more enjoyable!

Are the waffles per say, pancakes?
