After class, it's crucial to revise your notes while the information is still fresh in your mind. Rewrite anything that seems confusing and draft summaries in your own voice. Instead of marking based on importance, highlight based on categories to create a more structured approach. Give yourself time to formulate challenging questions that can enhance your understanding and retention. When it comes time for review, consider teaching the material to someone else; this can help identify areas where clarification is necessary. Compile all your questions into a document or flashcards, pushing yourself to answer without peeking at your notes. Another effective strategy is to create stories or analogies that can aid in recalling information on tests, as this engages different parts of the brain and enhances memory retention. Embrace these techniques, and witness the improvement in your studying efficiency!
