Always got some stupid shit on!!! #thesims #sims4 #simstownies #blacksimmers #sims4blackcc #simstok #blackgamergirl
Seriously, Sims 4 townies and their fashion choices are a constant struggle for me! It feels like every time I load up my game, there's a new townie wandering around in the most bizarre, clashing outfit imaginable. I'm talking hot dogs at weddings, formal wear at the gym, and patterns that absolutely hurt my eyes. It really breaks the immersion sometimes, doesn't it? I just want my Sims' neighbors to look somewhat put together! I remember one time, I was having a beautiful garden wedding for my Sim, and a townie showed up in a full-body hot dog costume. A hot dog! I couldn't even be mad, it was just so typically Sims 4. That’s when I realized I needed to take matters into my own hands. For those of you who also get frustrated, I've found a few ways to tackle this fashion emergency. The most direct approach I use is by enabling cheats. If you open the cheat console (Ctrl+Shift+C on PC), type cas.fulleditmode and hit Enter, then you can shift-click on any Sim (including townies) and select 'Modify in CAS'. This lets you completely overhaul their look, just like creating a new Sim! I often find myself in Detail Edit Mode here, meticulously picking out new clothes to fit the vibe of my neighborhood. It's a lifesaver, especially for those truly egregious outfits. I mean, who doesn't want their townies to have a bit of style, even if it's thanks to a little intervention from me? Another thing that helps a lot is using custom content (CC). There are so many amazing creators out there making beautiful clothes that fit various aesthetics. I download CC packs and then, when I'm in CAS with a townie, I use them to replace the default, often questionable, clothing options. For example, if I notice a townie is always wearing a specific ugly base game top, I might go into CAS and swap it out for a cute CC top that fits their personality better. Just a heads-up for my fellow MacBook Pro users, managing a lot of CC can sometimes affect performance, so always keep an eye on your game's speed! Beyond direct editing, there are also some fantastic mods that can help. I personally use MCCC (MC Command Center) because it has settings that allow you to manage townie outfits, prevent certain items from showing up, or even restrict townies to wearing only custom content if you set it up correctly. It takes a bit of learning, but it gives you so much control over your game world. It's a game-changer for me because it helps prevent new townies from spawning with those truly awful combinations. It's all about making your game experience more enjoyable, right? While some people love the randomness of Sims 4 townies, I prefer a little more control over the aesthetics. It's so satisfying to see a townie walk by in a really well-put-together outfit that I helped curate. It makes my game feel much more vibrant and realistic. So, if you're also screaming 'Townies pmo so baddd!!!' at your screen, try these tips out. They've really helped me enjoy my game much more!
