My New Year's Resolution 🎉✨
My 2025 New Year's resolution was to work on getting help for my eating disorder and better habits 🩷 My eating disorder is called ARFID (Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder). Basically it means that it's very hard for me to eat certain foods due to texture, smell, scared to try it, makes me nauseous, etc. There's a ton that go into being diagnosed with it and actually getting the help for it. It's definitely not an easy thing to do as I have been dealing with this all my life. I've grown up being picked on for being too skinny, being a picky eater, being weird, etc. And it hurt, still does... But this year I am also pregnant with my rainbow baby and knew I wanted to be a better person inside and out, all around. This is such a hard step for me but I am seeing a dietitian through Nourish and she is ✨AMAZING✨ The one thing about ARFID is that if you force a person with this disorder to try something new, it ends up backfiring and not helping at all. She understands my eating disorder and I am learning new ways to eat healthier with the safe foods I have now and interested in trying new foods!! I can't wait to see what 2025 will bring me and my family this year ✨🩷🎉🥰
