Bodycology Caramel Indulgence SOTD

Hey It’s Sunday Fun day Y’all,

Had to make a special trip to Walmart for Caramel Indulgence and Autumn Roads last night. I could not wait to pair them. So my first impression of CI is that the name is a bit deceiving. I thought it would smell more like Phlur Caramel Skin. It doesn’t it’s basically a cross between Sol De Janeiro 39 and 62. As with any Bodycology scent the projection and spillage aren’t the greatest. It’s definitely a scent that you would need to reapply after a few hours. Unless you are layering with supporting scents that are stronger and project more. All in all I would give it a 7.5 outta 10. For the price it’s a pretty good deal. I don’t mind it being on the weaker side because I have other lotions, cream etc to pair with it. If you’re a Sol De Janeiro fan and gourmand girlie you’ll enjoy this one. Have y’all tried it yet?

... Read moreHey fellow fragrance lovers! I’ve been seeing a lot of buzz around Bodycology Caramel Indulgence, and like many of you, I was curious if it lives up to the hype, especially with all the talk about it smelling similar to Sol de Janeiro. So, I grabbed both the mist and the body cream to give you my full, honest take and share some layering magic I've discovered! First off, don't let the name 'Caramel Indulgence' fool you into thinking it's a straight-up, super-sweet caramel explosion. While caramel is definitely in there, it’s not as syrupy or singular as you might expect. What I found, and what many of you might be looking for, is that unmistakable nutty, warm, and creamy vibe that we adore from Sol de Janeiro. To me, it truly feels like a beautiful, more subtle cross between the iconic Sol de Janeiro 39 (Cheirosa '39, with its coconut cream, warm caramel, and toasted praline notes) and 62 (Brazilian Crush Cheirosa '62, known for pistachio, salted caramel, and vanilla). You get that soft, inviting sweetness with a definite nutty undertone that makes it so comforting and addictive. Now, let's talk longevity. The original article mentioned it's not the strongest, and I agree – you'll likely need to reapply after a few hours if you're just using the mist. But don't let that deter you! This is where layering becomes your best friend and truly transforms this affordable gem into a powerhouse. The key to making Bodycology Caramel Indulgence last and project is to build your scent story from the ground up. Here’s my personal routine for maximizing this cozy scent: Shower Power: Start with a moisturizing body wash. Using something complementary like the OGX Coconut Coffee body scrub and wash helps set a warm, slightly roasted base, or even the Bodycology Caramel Indulgence body wash if you can find it for a consistent scent from the start. Hydrate & Lock In: After showering, while your skin is still damp, slather on a rich moisturizer. This is crucial for making any fragrance stick. I love using the Bodycology Caramel Indulgence body cream, but for an extra boost of nutty goodness and skin glow, the Trader Joe's Brazil Nut Body Oil is incredible. The Tree Hut Tropical Glow Body Cream also works wonders, adding a layer of tropical warmth that surprisingly enhances the caramel notes without clashing. Mist Away: Now, apply the Bodycology Caramel Indulgence mist generously to your pulse points (wrists, neck, behind the ears) and even a light mist over your clothes. Boost & Elevate: To truly make the scent last all day and project beautifully, consider adding a complementary perfume. For me, the Tru Fragrances Praline & Pistachio perfume is a perfect match – it amps up those gourmand, nutty, and caramel notes, making the whole combination incredibly rich and long-lasting. And if you're aiming for those authentic Sol de Janeiro vibes, a spritz of your favorite Sol De Janeiro Eau De Parfum over this base is pure magic; it truly makes the Bodycology mist sing! For the price, this collection is an absolute steal, especially for gourmand lovers and Sol de Janeiro fans on a budget. It's a fantastic everyday scent, perfect for cozying up or simply enjoying a sweet, comforting aura around you. If you're looking for an affordable way to get those delicious nutty caramel vibes and love experimenting with layering, you absolutely need to give Bodycology Caramel Indulgence a try. Happy scent adventures!
