BBW French Lavender Honey X Lattafa Angham

Good Morning Besties,

It’s Day 3 and this combo right here is near and dear to my heart. French Lavender Honey is my 2nd of all time favorite BBW scents. I rarely wear this just because it is discontinued and if brought back I know it won’t be the same. About 4 years ago I was able to get my hands on the EDP. I was so in love with this scent. It’s so nostalgic. French Lavender Honey is luxurious, herbaceous, fruity and a little bit sweet. What’s the oldest scent you own and are holding onto for nostalgic purposes?

For me, Bath & Body Works French Lavender Honey holds a special place in my heart, a true nostalgic gem that I cherished and still try to make last. It’s more than just a fragrance; it’s a memory in a bottle. This particular scent, with its luxurious blend of herbaceous lavender, sweet honey, and a touch of fruitiness, is truly unique. It creates such a comforting and sophisticated aura, which is why so many of us are still searching for it. When a favorite like French Lavender Honey disappears from shelves, the quest begins! Many of us scour online marketplaces and forums hoping to find hidden stashes or discover viable alternatives. If you're on the hunt for something similar, try looking for perfumes with prominent lavender and honey notes, perhaps with creamy vanilla or warm amber undertones to capture that comforting sweetness. Sometimes, exploring indie perfumers can also lead to wonderful discoveries that capture a similar vibe, even if not an exact dupe. My solution to keeping this cherished scent alive is through thoughtful layering! The original BBW French Lavender Honey line included a mist, lotion, and perfume, which naturally created a fantastic base. To deepen the experience and extend its longevity, I pair it with Lattafa Angham. Lattafa fragrances are known for their rich, long-lasting profiles, and Angham brings a beautiful warmth and complexity that perfectly complements the soft sweetness of French Lavender Honey. It adds an almost ethereal, opulent layer, transforming it from a beautiful body care scent into a truly captivating perfume experience. This combination truly elevates the "lavender and honey themes" that I adore, creating a luxurious and enduring silage. For anyone looking to create their own signature scent or make their fragrances last longer, here are a few tips I've picked up on my scent journey: Start with a Clean, Moisturized Base: Fragrance clings better to hydrated skin. After showering with a complementary body wash—like the Suave Milk and Honey I use, or even an unscented one—apply a rich, unscented lotion or one that subtly enhances your chosen perfume. The Scent Theory Silk Sheets Lotion, for instance, adds a soft, clean canvas without competing with the main event. Layer Different Forms: This is key! Begin with a body wash, then a lotion, followed by a body mist, and finally your Eau de Parfum. Each layer builds upon the last, creating a richer, more complex, and longer-lasting scent trail. Strategic Application: Apply your perfume to pulse points (wrists, neck, behind the ears, inner elbows, behind the knees) where your body heat will help diffuse the fragrance throughout the day. Don't rub your wrists together, as this can break down the scent molecules. Complementary Scents: When choosing layering partners, think about notes that naturally harmonize. Florals often go well with citrus or soft musks. Gourmands can be enhanced by vanilla or warm spices. For French Lavender Honey, I found that the deeper, slightly oriental notes of Lattafa Angham provided the perfect counterpoint, adding depth without overpowering the delicate lavender and honey. Don't Forget Your Hair: A light spritz of a body mist or a hair mist can leave a beautiful scent trail as you move. Just be mindful of alcohol content if your hair is dry. Store Properly: Keep your perfumes in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight and humidity to preserve their integrity and longevity. Creating a "scent layering challenge" for yourself is a fun way to explore new olfactory experiences and make the most of your collection, especially those cherished, discontinued gems like my beloved French Lavender Honey.
