📸 The Struggle Behind the Smile
If I’m being honest, taking a picture of myself is one of the hardest things for me to do. Every time I step in front of the camera, I battle with my self-esteem and the voice that reminds me of the brokenness I’ve walked through. Coming back to Rochester was another layer to this struggle—a place filled with memories, both painful and redemptive.
But God.
He has taken my broken pieces and made something beautiful. He reminds me daily that my worth is not in how I see myself but in how He sees me—redeemed, loved, and made new in Christ.
So every time I push through the discomfort of standing in front of the camera, I’m reminded of His work in my life. This isn’t about perfection; it’s about faith, growth, and showing up, even when it’s hard.
To anyone else battling self-doubt, know this: God is in the business of using the broken and the weary for His glory. Let Him rewrite your story as He has mine.
