In Remembrance
As we gathered for BGC Sunday, we were greeted by a beautiful rock adorned with the word "REMEMBER" written in gold. This smooth, unique stone served as a poignant reminder of the challenges we faced during the pandemic that began in March 2020.
We reflected on a time when so many lives were lost and the world felt like it had come to a standstill. Five years later, we acknowledge how far we’ve come, emerging from a period of profound limitations and isolation. I recall my own struggle with COVID-19, grappling with the fear that I might not make it. For months, I lost my sense of taste and endured the haunting smell of raw meat, all while my oxygen levels dropped dangerously low. The news that there were no hospital beds available in North Carolina and that I might need to go to Virginia for treatment filled me with dread.
But through it all, I held onto faith. As I cried out, God—who sits high and looks low—reassured me, saying, "My daughter, you will not die; you will live in the name of JESUS."
Today, as we remember, we celebrate resilience, hope, and the power of faith that has guided us through these trying times. Let us continue to honor those we’ve lost and cherish the gift of life we have today.
I am grateful for Gods MERCY As he hasn't taken his heart and hands off me nor my kids 🙌🏾🙏🏾🕊️

on Sunday 3/9/25 we follow the pastor word in Colossians Chpt 1:15-20 where he explains that Jesus is the ICON
ICON means the face of something example MICHEAL JORDAN is the ICON for NIKE if that makes sense. So let's look at JESUS is an ICON for GOD he's the face people think they have seen no-one has ever seen GOD but all I know is we have to go through the son JESUS to get to the father it is written. Various mental health resources emphasize the importance of supportive communities during difficult times, encouraging individuals to seek help and engage in open dialogues. This community support is vital for resilience, illustrating how faith and togetherness can lead to personal and communal healing. As the church embraces these narratives, it transforms into a sanctuary for sharing struggles and celebrating victories, reaffirming that despite adversity, we can thrive together through faith.
