How I’m building a career in Health
I used to think the only way to have a meaningful career in healthcare was to become a doctor.
For the longest time, that was the only version of “helping people” I saw. But deep down, I was more drawn to solving problems, not just treating symptoms.
I started noticing patterns that no one talked about; patients who couldn’t explain their pain, communities who didn’t have access to clinics, people who were left behind by the system.
That’s when I found public health. And it was like… oh!! This is what I’ve been looking for.
None of this looks like the traditional path I imagined, but it feels way more ME. I get to combine tech, compassion, problem solving, and creativity, all while still working in healthcare.
Drop your major down below and I can suggest a non-traditional health career path you might love!
Or if you’re in a similar path, what project are you working on right now?? Let’s chat🫶🏻
