Do You Make Enough at Your Job?

Let’s be real: one of the hardest parts of starting your career. especially in fields like healthcare, research, or public health…. is the salary. When I first stepped into this space, I was shocked at how much work goes into it vs. how little people often get paid. Healthcare is supposed to be about impact, but sometimes the paycheck doesn’t match the hours, stress, or responsibility.

I’ve felt underpaid before, and I know I’m not the only one. That’s why I started looking at side hustles to help me stay financially stable while still pursuing the work I’m passionate about. For me, it’s been everything from digital freelance projects to brainstorming how to scale my AI healthcare startup into something sustainable. It’s not easy, but it’s taught me that money doesn’t always have to come from one place.

I’m curious… do you feel like you’re paid fairly in your job? If not, what side hustles or extra income streams have actually worked for you (not just the “quit your job and start a business” advice we see online 🙄)?

👉 Share in the comments. your answer could help someone else who’s struggling with this too.
