he’s just silly

Living with Bugs, my sweet little lop-eared rabbit, is never a dull moment. You might think some of the things he does are a bit 'silly' or that he's a 'stupid looking rabbit' because he gets into such funny predicaments, but really, it's just pure, unadulterated bunny personality shining through! For example, his hiding spots are legendary. He thinks he's completely camouflaged when he's just sitting in plain sight, often giving me the most intense side-eye as if I'm the one who can't see him. The funniest time was when I genuinely thought I’d lost him, only to find him perfectly still, nestled amongst my collection of stuffed animals. He blended right in, looking like just another plush toy! It was a moment of panic turned into pure laughter. Then there are his antics with objects around the house. Anything left on the floor is fair game for inspection, which usually means it gets knocked over or stepped on. Forget about personal space too! He once devoured my eyelashes – yes, my actual eyelashes – right off my face when I was simply trying to give him some affection! It’s these unexpected, quirky moments that make him so special. He's also a food fiend. Despite being a vegetarian, he will absolutely fight you for your food. I've had to guard my plates from his determined little nose and paws more times than I can count. It’s hilarious to watch him strategize how to get a bite of whatever I’m eating, even if it's completely unsuitable for rabbits. One of the most memorable (and terrifying, in retrospect) 'silly' things he did was when he got into a ramen noodle pack. I turned my back for a second, and he had absolutely demolished it! We had to rush him to the emergency vet, a two-and-a-half-hour drive, and thankfully, he was okay. It was a stark reminder of how curious and sometimes accident-prone these little guys can be, and how quickly things can go wrong. But even through the scare, his resilience and silly nature shone through. He's a brown and grey lop-eared mischief-maker with a heart of gold and a knack for making every day an adventure. These aren't just random acts; they're expressions of his unique personality. He’s the most chill, funny little thing I’ve ever met, and his buzzes of excitement when food is involved are just the cutest. He lives for nose scratches, so much so that he’ll literally push anything out of my hands to demand attention. It’s hard to stay mad at a face like his, even when he’s causing a little chaos. Owning a rabbit like Bugs teaches you so much about patience, love, and finding joy in the unexpected. He truly is my soulmate in animal form, even with all his silly, unbelievable quirks!
