Let’s talk trampoline parks

Mom’s?! Do y’all take your kiddos to these?

Do you think they are worth it?

For me as a parent, it’s not a drop and go situation for me and my kiddos. And it’s not a super regular thing, but it’s nice that they can get rid of a bunch of energy.

Get to learn and try new things in a fairly safe environment.

It’s not hindered by weather.

And I don’t need to have one at the house 🤣

... Read moreAs a parent, planning a trip to a trampoline park often sparks a few questions, and one that consistently comes up – especially after seeing images of people in everyday clothes – is, 'Can you really wear jeans to a trampoline park?' I've been there, staring at a pair of blue jeans and wondering if they'd be practical for an hour of serious bouncing. After a few visits with my own energetic kiddos, I've gathered some insights I'm happy to share! While you might see people, like the person in the image with their blue jeans casually resting by the trampoline, it doesn't necessarily mean it's the best choice for active jumping. Technically, most trampoline parks don't have a strict 'no jeans' policy. You can wear them. However, from a comfort and performance perspective, it's often not ideal. Jeans, especially those made of rigid denim, can be quite restrictive. Think about it: you'll be bending, stretching, jumping high, and possibly doing some flips (or watching your kids do them!). Stiff fabric can hinder your range of motion, making it harder to move freely and potentially leading to discomfort or even chafing. Plus, if you get hot from all the activity, denim isn't exactly known for its breathability. I remember one time I wore a slightly tighter pair and regretted it halfway through – every jump felt a little less free, and I was definitely more sweaty than I needed to be! So, if jeans aren't the top pick, what should you wear? My go-to recommendation for maximum fun and safety is athletic wear. Think leggings, yoga pants, or even comfortable athletic shorts for warmer days. These fabrics are designed to stretch, wick away sweat, and allow for a full range of movement, which is exactly what you need when you're defying gravity. For tops, a simple t-shirt or an athletic top works best. You want something that won't restrict your arms or ride up too much when you're upside down. And don't forget the socks! Almost all trampoline parks require special grip socks for safety, to prevent slipping and improve traction on the trampolines. So, while your white sneakers might look cool in the picture, you'll definitely be swapping them out for those grippy socks at the door! Beyond just the clothes, there are a few other things I've learned that make our trampoline park visits much more enjoyable and truly 'worth it' for shaking off that kiddo energy. First, hydration is key. All that jumping is a workout, so bring water bottles or plan to grab some drinks there. Second, encourage your kids (and yourself!) to warm up a little before diving straight into the craziest jumps. A few gentle bounces can help prevent muscle strains. And speaking of safety, constant supervision for younger kids is a must. Even in a 'fairly safe environment,' accidents can happen, and having an extra set of eyes on them makes a huge difference. Finally, remember that a trampoline park is a fantastic option when the weather isn't cooperating for outdoor play – it's completely 'not hindered by weather,' as someone wisely pointed out! My family loves that we can still get active and burn off energy rain or shine. So, while wearing blue jeans might technically be allowed, opting for comfortable athletic clothing will undoubtedly enhance your experience, making those jumps higher, those landings softer, and those memories even better. Happy bouncing!

In my opinion as an elder sister.. i LOVE bringing my 2 year old sister to trampoline parks with me!!! Its an opportunity for her to make friends and actually have fun outside the house! And they have kid areas so we dont always have to have direct eyesight her but still have her in a safe environment! 💕
