For me when it comes to working on your back, it never has been about lifting weights or pushing to the maximum per workout.

ITS ABOUT VOLUME

I’ve only done calisthenics and to think about it pulling your own body weight as opposed to forcing additional weight will allow for your body to naturally lean out and clean bulk even if you aren’t eating as clean as you wish to be!

Something else to mention is that with these types of workouts such as pull ups, climbing in general and doing movements that foster where we come as primates. It will allow us to stay very strong at lighter weights due to tighter muscle capacity allowing movement more freely.

It also plays a huge role in our nervous system because strenuous workouts can cause nervous system damage. I focus on calisthenics because naturally your twitch reflex speed will increase in time and help with natural brain function thinking more clearly and freely!
