Hi, I'm Magnus! I'm a 6-week-old male Maltese with a beautiful white & lemon coat, born on December 27. I'll be ready to go home to my forever family after February 22, once I'm grown enough to leave my litter. When I reach my adult size, I should weigh between 4–5 lbs. I'm APRI registered. We can shop for puppy toys together, take long walks or just stay at home watch a good movie on TV.
Adopting a Maltese puppy like Magnus comes with many joys and responsibilities. Maltese dogs are known for their gentle and affectionate nature, making them excellent companions for families and individuals alike. Their small size, typically weighing between 4 and 7 pounds at adulthood, makes them ideal for apartment living or homes with limited space. When preparing for a Maltese puppy’s arrival, it's important to create a comfortable and safe environment. Puppy-proofing your home by removing hazards and selecting appropriate toys is essential. Maltese puppies are playful and curious, so durable chew toys help keep them entertained and protect your belongings. Socialization and training are key to raising a well-behaved Maltese. Early exposure to different people, sounds, and environments can help Magnus grow into a confident adult dog. Besides walks and playtime, bonding activities such as gentle grooming sessions and quiet cuddle moments will strengthen your relationship. It’s also crucial to consider their grooming needs. Maltese dogs have long, silky coats that require regular brushing to prevent tangles and mats. Starting these grooming routines early helps puppies like Magnus get used to the process, making it easier as they grow. Since Magnus is APRI registered, it signifies that his lineage has been documented by a reputable registry, which can provide peace of mind regarding his health and breed authenticity. Planning regular veterinary visits and maintaining a healthy diet tailored for a small breed puppy will support his growth and wellbeing. Choosing to adopt Magnus means welcoming a loyal and loving friend into your life. With proper care, training, and affection, he will bring endless joy and companionship to your family for many years to come.
