Attempting backflip for 200k subscribers😂
Hey everyone! So, you've seen my latest attempts (and yes, plenty of backflip fails!) as I push towards that 200k subscriber goal. Learning to do a backflip, especially on a trampoline, is an incredible challenge but totally achievable with the right approach and a lot of courage. If you're a beginner like me, or just curious about how to get started, here's what I've learned from my own training progression. First off, why start on a trampoline? It's a game-changer for beginners! The bounce gives you that extra airtime and significantly reduces the impact, making it much safer to practice. It helps you get a feel for the rotation without the fear of hitting the ground too hard. My biggest takeaway? Don't rush it. Each small step builds confidence. My training progression usually starts with mastering a solid straight jump and getting comfortable with controlled landings. Then, I move onto practicing the tuck. This is crucial! While jumping high, you need to quickly bring your knees to your chest and grab them. I've spent so much time just practicing this tuck in the air, without even trying to rotate fully. It looks silly, but it builds muscle memory. Many of my early backflip fails came from not tucking fast or tight enough! Another key step for a trampoline backflip beginner is definitely getting comfortable with falling safely, or even better, having a spotter. When I first started, I had friends or coaches there to gently guide me over, which really helped me overcome the mental block. If you don't have a spotter, make sure you're landing on a very soft surface, like a foam pit or a stack of mats. Learning from Backflip fails isn't just about watching them; it's about understanding why they happened and adjusting your technique. Was my jump not high enough? Was my tuck too slow? These are the questions I ask myself after each attempt. Once you’re consistently tucking high and fast, you can gradually start adding a slight backward lean. It's a gradual process, almost like doing a controlled fall backward while still pushing up. The key is to commit! Hesitation is often the biggest cause of a Backflip fail. While I'm focusing on my trampoline backflip challenge, I know many of you are also interested in calisthenics backflips or even the legendary triple backflip. The fundamentals you learn on a trampoline—the tuck, the commitment, the spatial awareness—are absolutely transferable. Think of the trampoline as your foundation. Once you've got that solid, you can start exploring how to apply those skills to harder surfaces, or even just building the strength needed for a full calisthenics backflip. For now, I’m just trying to nail this one! Keep practicing, stay safe, and don't be afraid of a few Backflip fails—they're all part of the journey!
