Some thrifty finds ✨

I love a great thrift haul! Been thrifting since I was a teenager. I Found these RH grey and brown leather couches at an antique store, and the circle chaki coffee table from FB MP. Mostly everything I decorate with is brought secondhand. People think I am rich based off of my furniture choices, but they should know that most of (if not all of) my home includes second handed items. I also made the footstools from scratch, that you see in my living room. 😊

Many individuals find unique, high-quality pieces at antique shops, thrift stores, or online marketplaces, turning secondhand goods into standout items that enhance home decor. For example, restoring or customizing leather couches or coffee tables can bring a vintage charm and originality that new furniture often lacks. Creating your own furniture, such as footstools, adds a personal touch and ensures that your living space is uniquely yours. DIY projects like these allow you to tailor size, fabric, and design to perfectly fit your style and needs. Furthermore, sourcing materials secondhand to craft your own pieces contributes to reducing waste and embracing an eco-friendly lifestyle. For those new to thrifting, here are some helpful tips: always inspect items for quality and durability, don’t hesitate to ask the seller about the item's history, and consider how pieces will fit with your existing decor. Using hashtags like #thrifteddecor or #thriftedfurniture on social platforms connects you with communities of like-minded thrifters who share inspiration, advice, and success stories. Overall, thrifting offers a rewarding way to decorate your home with quality pieces while telling a story through each item. Whether you find a stunning vintage couch, a unique coffee table, or craft footstools yourself, thrifted furniture can elevate your living space and showcase both your creativity and commitment to sustainability.
