... Read moreOkay, so February just flew by, didn't it? I swear, every year this month just showers me with beautiful moments, and this year was absolutely no exception! Creating a 'photo dump' or a 'month in review' post has become one of my absolute favorite ways to look back and truly appreciate all the little joys and big wins that happen. It’s like a mini digital scrapbook for your soul!
If you're thinking of curating your own 'February so far' recap, my biggest tip is to simply snap photos of everything that makes you smile, even the small stuff! Don't wait for the perfect, Instagram-ready shot. It’s all about capturing the raw, authentic vibe of your experiences. I personally keep a running album on my phone throughout the month, just for these little gems I want to remember. Then, when it’s time to put together the dump, I just scroll through and pick my highlights. It makes the process so much easier and more fun, turning what could be a chore into a delightful trip down memory lane!
This year, February felt extra special because of my birthday! Yep, officially 28 and feeling great. It’s wild how quickly time flies, but I’m so grateful for another year of adventures. We celebrated with some absolutely amazing food – seriously, if you haven’t tried Kavas Tacos + Tequila, you are definitely missing out! The atmosphere was vibrant, and the tacos? *Chef’s kiss*. Such good vibes and even better food to kick off another year.
I also managed to sneak in some much-needed art appreciation, which always fills my cup. Visiting both the Orlando Museum of Art and the Tampa Museum of Art broadened my perspective and introduced me to some incredible pieces. There was this adorable Snoopy candle I saw at one of the gift shops that almost made it into my bag – a perfect little quirky souvenir! And of course, no February is complete without some good tunes to set the mood; I had SZA on repeat, among other artists, providing the perfect soundtrack to my month. From cozy nights in to spontaneous outings, the music just elevated every moment.
For your own dump, think about breaking it down into little categories or themes. It helps tell a more cohesive 'story' and isn't just a random assortment of pictures. Maybe 'best eats,' 'favorite views,' 'people I loved seeing,' 'new discoveries,' or 'moments of calm.' You don't necessarily need a fancy template; just pick your favorite photos, maybe add a little text overlay to give context, and share your gratitude for the month. It’s a wonderful, personal way to honor the experiences and memories February brought. I truly believe that taking time to reflect like this helps you appreciate life so much more.
I'm already excited to see what March brings and to start collecting those moments for my next recap, but I’ll definitely be looking back at my February memories with a huge smile. What were some of your standout moments from this past month? I'd absolutely love to hear your stories too!
