Sunflower returns to a village that has lived in four years. The first day back, Jackpot meets a sane man who is being bullied.

Sunflower sat under the shade of a big tree. The box rice that Leo had deposited was carefully opened, and seeing that in the box was a favorite food, it made the sunflower smile out unknowingly.

เผื่อใครเสิร์ชหา “ชาวบ้านบอกว่าไอ้สิงห์มันเป็นบ้า” แล้วอยากรู้ฟีลเรื่องก่อนกดอ่าน เรามาสรุปโทนให้แบบไม่สปอยหนักนะคะ เรื่องนี้เป็นนิยายวายแนวดราม่า-ฮีลใจ กลิ่นอายชนบท/หมู่บ้าน มีทั้งความอบอุ่นและความเจ็บที่ค่อยๆ เปิดปมไปพร้อมกัน จุดที่เราชอบคือพล็อต “กลับบ้านแล้วเจอคนคุ้นเคยที่เปลี่ยนไป” มันชวนให้ลุ้นว่าความทรงจำวัยเด็กจะพาเขากลับมาได้แค่ไหน คีย์เวิร์ดหลักของเรื่องคือคำว่า “ชาวบ้านบอกว่าเขาเป็นบ้า” ซึ่งมันทำให้บรรยากาศน่ากดอ่านมาก เพราะเราจะได้เห็นมุมมองของคนในหมู่บ้าน การซุบซิบ การตัดสินจากภาพที่เห็น กับอีกด้านที่ตัวเอก (ทานตะวัน) เคยสนิทกับสิงห์มาก่อน เลยไม่อยากเชื่อแค่ว่า “เขาเป็นแบบนั้น” อย่างเดียว พอเธอตัดสินใจยื่นมือเข้าไปช่วย มันเลยกลายเป็นเส้นเรื่องการเยียวยาที่ค่อยๆ ละมุนขึ้น อีกอย่างที่หลายคนหาในกูเกิลคือ “รูปปกนิยายวาย” ของเรื่องนี้ ปกจะมาแนวธรรมชาติสดใส มีดอกทานตะวันเด่นๆ ให้ความรู้สึกอบอุ่นแต่แอบเหงา ผู้ชายกล้ามใหญ่สวมมงกุฎดอกไม้กับสร้อยคอ ยืนคู่กับผู้หญิงผมยาวที่ถือดอกทานตะวัน (โทนโดยรวมคือฟีลชนบท-ละมุนใจ) ซึ่งเข้ากับในเนื้อเรื่องที่มีสัญลักษณ์อย่าง “ดอกทานตะวัน” โผล่มาเป็นโมเมนต์น่ารักๆ และเหมือนเป็นตัวแทนของความหวัง/การมองไปข้างหน้า ถ้าชอบนิยายวายที่มีความสัมพันธ์ค่อยเป็นค่อยไป ไม่ใช่หวานอย่างเดียว แต่มีเหตุผลที่ต้อง “ประคองกัน” เรื่องนี้น่าจะถูกจริตค่ะ โดยเฉพาะคนที่ชอบฉากชีวิตประจำวันเล็กๆ เช่น ข้าวกล่องของโปรด (ไข่พะโล้/หมูสามชั้น) โมเมนต์จำรายละเอียดกันได้ และบทพูดเขินๆ ที่ทำให้ใจฟู แนะนำทริกเล็กๆ ตอนเริ่มอ่าน: ลองสังเกตว่าเรื่องวาง “ความทรงจำวัยเด็ก” ไว้เป็นกุญแจยังไง แล้วค่อยต่อชิ้นส่วนว่าเกิดอะไรกับสิงห์ในช่วง 4 ปีที่หายไป อ่านแบบนี้จะอินมากขึ้น และจะเข้าใจว่าทำไมคำว่า “ช่วยให้กลับมาเป็นผู้เป็นคน” ถึงมีน้ำหนักกับตัวละครจริงๆ
