Creating a practice of
Moving freely, in a way
that has no judgments. Which, for me, can be challenging. Creating healthy and productive 'arting' habits can be daunting.
For me, I struggle with focusing, whether it's undiagnosed ADHD or more probable, from Trauma and being raised in a chaotic household. Finding ways to motivate myself can be challenging. And on top of that, fighting thru the imposter syndrome that inevitably comes up, for me.
Im sharing this because I know, to see another artist just creating art because it's joyful? that's priceless.Connect with your joy!!! Please!
What art practice do you do to stay engaged with your creativity?! Asking for a friend 😜

Building a creative practice often involves embracing freedom and an open mindset. Each artist faces unique challenges such as distractions, psychological barriers, and self-doubt. Those dealing with conditions like ADHD may find it especially difficult to maintain focus in their creative endeavors. Strategies such as setting small, achievable goals can help manage these challenges. Moreover, it's vital to cultivate a supportive environment that encourages exploration without fear of judgment. Techniques such as mindfulness and regular breaks can foster a more conducive atmosphere for creativity. Engaging with other artists can also provide inspiration and motivation. By sharing experiences and practices, artists can unlock new avenues of possibility. Consider exploring various mediums, attempting new art forms, or even setting up art challenges to bring excitement back into your practice. Ultimately, returning to the joy of creating is essential. Asking yourself what activities ignite that joy can guide your practice and reignite your passion for art.
