Review of the "Wiman Thorn" edition, people have never seen a movie before.
Confessed that at first I was not interested in this playbook. With the fact that it was made into a movie, and my heart was not open to Thai literature at all. Until the book fair, I watched the review of the book in this tiktok. I lost the voice in my head, so I went to buy it. (I got a limited copy of the color.)
...Once I opened it, I felt fun until I couldn't stop.

วิมานหนามไม่เพียงเป็นเรื่องราวของความรักและความแค้นที่ซับซ้อนเท่านั้น แต่ยังสะท้อนให้เห็นถึงความท้าทายในสังคมไทยโดยเฉพาะเรื่องสิทธิของคู่รัก LGBTQ ที่ยังมีอุปสรรคด้านกฎหมายและการยอมรับ นอกจากเรื่องความรักที่มีหลากหลายรูปแบบอย่างที่เล่าในหนังสือ เช่น ความรักของแม่ต่อลูก ความรักที่มาพร้อมกับผลประโยชน์ หรือความรักที่หวังดี ก็ยังแทรกประเพณีและวัฒนธรรมของภาคเหนือที่ไม่ค่อยได้เห็นในวรรณกรรมทั่วไป รวมถึงการใช้ภาพวิวัฒนาการของทุเรียนตาม chapters ที่ทำให้การอ่านมีเอกลักษณ์และน่าสนใจ ในฐานะที่เคยเป็นคนไม่ชอบอ่านวรรณกรรมไทยมาก่อน หนังสือเล่มนี้เปิดโลกทัศน์ใหม่ ทำให้รู้สึกว่าแม้ภาพยนตร์จะหยิบเรื่องนี้มาสร้างแล้ว แต่การอ่านหนังสือทำให้ได้ซึมซับความรู้สึกและความลึกของตัวละครในมุมของผู้อ่านเองมากกว่า ภาพปกสีส้มที่มีต้นทุเรียนและนกสองตัว รวมถึงสีสันขอบหนังสือที่ไล่เฉดสีทำให้น่าหยิบขึ้นมาอ่านทุกครั้ง และยังช่วยเสริมบรรยากาศของเรื่องได้อย่างดี ใครที่สนใจวรรณกรรมไทย หรืออยากรู้จักเรื่องราวในยุคที่ความรักยังมีอุปสรรค ซับซ้อนจากสังคมและกฎหมาย วิมานหนามเป็นทางเลือกที่ไม่ควรพลาด
