Tutorial: frosty soft girl makeup
i saw other people make these and thought i’d give it a try :)
Foundation & Powder: both of these are optional but a good foundation is going to help even out your skin tone to give you more of a smooth “clean” look. powder is mainly for my oily or sweaty girls to make sure we are only shining where we want to!
Concealer: this really just depends on you, i use concealer to cover up my chronic dark circles and as a base for my eyeshadow to make it stick better. i would also recommend using it on any other blemishes you may have.
Eyeshadow: cover the whole lid in the lighter peachy color and then run the darker peach/brownish eyeshadow in your crease.
White pencil liner: run that white liner along your waterline and then over extend the outer edge past your actual lashes (this is going to help your eyes look bigger)
Eyeliner: practice makes perfect when it comes to liquid eyeliner! you are going to want to make the top your wing go straight out from the center of your eyelid. then make the bottom part go slightly lower than your actual lash line to give the illusion of bigger eyes. drawing on some bottom lashes is optional but a cute touch!
Mascara: make sure to curl those lashes and to focus the mascara to the tips as opposed to the roots, this helps the lashes stay curled longer :) you can also add falsies if you want but i recommend going with a lighter and wispier set!
Contour and Highlight: contour your cheekbones to be a little higher and more rounded than your actual cheekbones, starting at the temple and ending about mid-cheek. start your nose contour at your brows and go all the way down. i also like to add a little contour under my bottom lip to give the illusion of a shadow.
Blush, Freckles, and Highlight: go heavy on the blush for this look but focus on under the eye/upper cheekbone and the nose. there are many ways to recreate freckles but one of my favorites is lime crime’s freckle pen! make sure to space them out and make them random, making freckles too uniform is a dead giveaway that they are fake. use a white highlight on the tip of your nose, down your nose bridge, and in the corners of your eyes.
Lips: use a matte peachy lipgloss or lipstick and apply it to your inner lips. then you can blend it outwards to give a more natural and gradient effect. feel free to apply gloss over when you’re finished!

Embracing the 'soft girl' aesthetic has been such a fun journey for me, and the frosty variation adds an extra touch of dreamy innocence that I absolutely adore! This look isn't just about applying makeup; it's about creating a vibe that feels fresh, youthful, and a little bit ethereal. Getting that flawless, almost airbrushed base is key for any soft girl look. Beyond just evening out skin tone, I've found that choosing the right foundation formula makes all the difference. If you have oily skin, a good mattifying primer and a light layer of powder in your T-zone will ensure you stay radiant without looking greasy. For my dry-skinned pals, opting for a hydrating primer and a dewy finish foundation will give you that coveted glass-skin effect. And when it comes to concealer, I totally get the struggle with dark circles! The tutorial's method of using it as an eyeshadow base is brilliant, but for under-eye brightening, I often dot a slightly lighter shade in the inner corner and blend outwards, then set it with a translucent powder to prevent creasing. It really wakes up your whole face, especially when paired with the bright eye makeup from the tutorial. Now, let's talk eyes – they're such a focal point for the soft girl aesthetic. The white eyeliner on the waterline is, in my opinion, a non-negotiable for achieving that wide-eyed, innocent gaze. It instantly makes your eyes appear larger and brighter. I've experimented with different white liners, and a creamy pencil works best for me to ensure comfort and smooth application. As for the winged black eyeliner, practice truly makes perfect! I aim for a softer, slightly straighter wing rather than a dramatic flick to keep it in line with the 'soft girl eye makeup' vibe. It’s all about creating illusion. And for those adorable faux freckles, as shown in the images, don't be afraid to add them! I find that using a freckle pen or even a brow pencil applied with a light hand, then gently tapping with a finger, makes them look incredibly natural and adds to that youthful charm. Finally, the blush and highlight bring the 'frosty' element to life. Going heavy on the blush, especially under the eye and across the bridge of the nose, creates that cute, flushed-from-the-cold look. I also love to blend my blush up into my temples a bit for a lifted effect. And for highlight placement, beyond the inner corners of the eyes and the nose bridge, I sometimes add a tiny touch to my cupid's bow for a plumper lip appearance. The key is to use a shimmery, almost iridescent highlight to give that frosty glow without looking glittery. This look is incredibly adaptable too; for a 'natural soft girl makeup' day, I might skip the faux freckles and opt for a sheerer blush, but keep the bright eyes and a touch of highlight. It's all about personalizing the steps to make the 'frosty soft girl makeup' truly your own!

ah! so cute
