Ponies that got fixed up yesterday!
Blossomforth needed her mane fixed up, which is still not 100% I may fully reroot her eventually.
Monty, Trixie, Mrs. Cake, cheerie Lee, and sea swirl just needed their tails fixed just a little and mane restyling 😻
I recently spent a relaxing day working on my My Little Pony collection, focusing mainly on grooming their manes and tails to bring them back to life. From my experience, one of the trickier parts is the mane, especially if you want to do a full rerooting. For Blossomforth, I was able to freshen up her mane, but I'm considering a complete reroot to restore that pristine look completely. This involves carefully removing the old hair and meticulously adding new strands, which can take patience but is highly rewarding. For characters like Monty, Trixie, Mrs. Cake, Cheerie Lee, and Sea Swirl, I found that minor tail repairs and restyling the mane made a significant difference. Using a soft-bristle brush and gentle detangling techniques ensures the fibers stay intact and fluffy, avoiding damage. It’s important to avoid getting the figures wet, as that could impact their paint or stickers. An interesting tip I picked up is to style and brush before starting any fixes so you understand the mane or tail's natural flow. Photos before and after styling help track improvements and give a nice sense of accomplishment. For example, Minty’s hair might need a redo in the near future after I compare before and after shots. Working on these figures not only helps preserve their condition but also deepens my appreciation for the craftsmanship behind each pony. Whether you’re a collector or a fan looking to refresh your set, investing time in mane and tail care can breathe new life into your My Little Pony characters and keep your display vibrant and delightful.
