1997 my little pony happy birthday puzzle :3 this is one of 3 generation 2 items that I have in my whole collection!!! I got this puzzle from my pony pal Mak a while back.

In my g2 collection I have the complete Ivy’s pretty parlor set including every single accessory + instruction booklet, magic motion moon shadow + all of her accessories (she was new in box but the box began to fall apart), and now I have this 24 piece puzzle which impressively has all of the pieces!!!! #mylittlepony #mlpg2

... Read moreAs an avid My Little Pony collector, especially focused on Generation 2 items, I truly understand the thrill of finding rare pieces like this 1997 birthday puzzle. Having a complete puzzle is quite special, given that many vintage collectibles often suffer from missing parts over time. In my experience, maintaining the integrity of such puzzles enhances not only the display value but also the nostalgia brought by these cherished items. One tip I’ve found useful for preserving these puzzles is to store them away from direct sunlight and humidity, which can cause fading and warping. Additionally, because G2 My Little Pony items often came with numerous small accessories and instruction booklets, organizing these carefully in labeled containers helps maintain their completeness and ease of future enjoyment. Beyond puzzles, having entire sets like Ivy’s Pretty Parlor with every accessory truly elevates a collection. Even if items come in original packaging that’s a bit worn, like the Magic Motion Moon Shadow’s box, the condition of the contents themselves can remain impressive. I often photograph my collection to document their condition over time and to share with fellow collectors online. Interestingly, the inclusion of the words “lashing lights” and “Warning” in the puzzle’s imagery suggests some interactive or safety elements originally featured in the packaging or the toy line, a reminder of how toy marketing and design have evolved. For anyone collecting G2 MLP, these aspects add layers of historical context and enrich the stories behind each item. If you’re considering starting or expanding your My Little Pony collection, focusing on Generation 2 can be rewarding due to its unique designs and the relative scarcity of complete sets and puzzles today. Engaging with collector communities, whether on forums or social media, can provide valuable tips and potential trading opportunities to find those elusive pieces.
