Sharing my personal journey as an artist, I find working with subjects like horses and ponies incredibly rewarding. These animals offer a dynamic blend of grace and strength that translates beautifully into both traditional and digital media. Between July and August, I gravitated towards traditional techniques because they allow for a tactile connection with the medium—whether it’s textured brush strokes or delicate pencil lines, the physical interaction enriches the creative process. What makes this collection special is the inclusion of other whimsical creatures alongside the horses and ponies, such as the enchanting 'Majestic Moon Dracorn' and the delicate 'Beetle Beauty.' These imaginative elements add a unique flair, sparking creativity beyond realistic depictions. Incorporating fantasy subjects invites a broader narrative, giving each artwork a story and personality. Working traditionally also challenges me to embrace imperfections and spontaneity, whereas digital tools offer precision and flexibility. Combining both methods diversifies my portfolio and helps me grow as an artist. For anyone starting out, I recommend experimenting with traditional art for its tactile experience and using digital art to refine and explore variations. Overall, capturing the essence of these creatures, whether through vibrant colors or subtle shading, is a continuous learning adventure.
