Red light therapy has been quite the rage recently but this studio is probably one of the few in Singapore offering it with their mat yoga practices.
✨Benefits
🤍 Support muscle recovery
🤍 Reduce inflammation
🤍 Enhances blood circulation
🧘♀️ studio vibes was chill, almost Bali-like peace. Instructor was clear and you can indicate using place cards on whether you’d like your poses to be corrected.
👓 glasses to block out the bright red light was provided but you could choose not to wear it if it’s uncomfortable. I had lash extensions on, and it didn’t sit quite comfortably without touching the lashes, so I did most of the practice without it. All was still good!
😌 Not quite sure if it’s psychological, but after the class, my body indeed felt more relaxed
If you’re in the East, check this out! Comes with loads of good cafe options nearby too.
... Read moreCombining red light therapy with yoga practice is an innovative approach that offers several wellness benefits beyond traditional yoga. From personal experience attending sessions that integrate these two, I noticed my muscle soreness after workouts significantly decreased over time. This is likely due to the red light therapy’s ability to penetrate deep into muscle tissues, promoting faster repair and reducing inflammation.
I also appreciated the calming ambiance of the studio, which felt similar to a serene getaway like Bali, enhancing mindfulness during the yoga flow. It was helpful that the instructor provided clear pointers and used place cards to respect individual preferences for corrections, making the experience feel personalized and comfortable.
One interesting aspect was the use of light-blocking glasses to protect the eyes from the bright red light. Though I chose to practice without them due to wearing lash extensions, others found them useful for comfort. After each class, there was a tangible sense of relaxation and mental clarity, which I believe comes from both the yoga and the gentle warming effects of the red light.
If you are in the eastern region of Singapore, this studio also offers great coffee spots nearby, making it perfect for a wellness day out. Additionally, with 17 credits required on ClassPass, it’s accessible for those who might want to incorporate this unique therapy into their regular fitness or mindfulness routine.
Overall, red light therapy yoga stands out as a beneficial practice for anyone looking to enhance recovery, reduce bodily inflammation, and cultivate a peaceful state of mind.
